Subleasing is allowed for all properties managed by Manchester Property Management.  Permission to do so would need to be obtained through the Leasing Office, and there would also be a $100.00 Sublease fee.  Paperwork for a Sublease is done in the MPMI Leasing Office, and still makes the original person/persons on the lease liable for anything that happens in the apartment.  It is also the responsibility of the tenant to advertise and find someone to Sublease.  There is a Sublease list on this website to list your information requesting someone to Sublease as well.  Subleasing is not allowed after a lease term has been completed, and the person/persons subletting would need to be out of apartment after original tenant/tenants' lease term is up. A Lease Takeover would also be allowed by Manchester Property Management, but the person/persons looking to do so would need to apply and go through the regular rental process just as the original tenant/tenants did.  This may be better for the original tenant as there is no fee, and removes all liability from the original tenant/tenants once lease is signed by person taking over the lease.  In either a Lease Takeover or Sublease Manchester Property Management will not do any maintenance or cleaning in the apartment for the new tenant/tenants or Sublessee.  The new tenant/tenants or Sublessee must agree to take the apartment "as is".    If you have additional questions please feel free to contact the MPMI Leasing Office.
